Discovering and practicing new stitch patterns inspires my creative process. The Crown Stitch is an example of a recent find; and after experimenting with it, I thought it would make a unique, attractive border. The Feather Stitch is another new-found pattern, and it is used here to create the lace openwork in the flutter sleeves and bottom edging. “Salvaged” gets its name from the use of Berroco’s Remix Light, which is made from 100% recycled fibers. The front and back of the top are worked flat, then seamed at the shoulders and sides. The stitches for the neck, sleeves, and bottom edging are then picked up and worked in the round.
