I love classic sweaters that are easy to customize, and they never go out of style. Whenever I can add classic details, like the full-fashion decreases of the back shoulders, the piece takes on a high-end flavor that sets it apart from the basic pattern that can be found anywhere. I also like to incorporate non-rib stitch patterns into the design that serve the same function as ribbing. Attention to detail sets this piece apart and ensures you’ll be asked where you bought it.
Work the body in the round to the armholes, then divide to work the front and back separately. The back is worked to a shorter length than the full armhole depth so the decreases to shape the shoulders creates a steep angle. The front is worked to the full armhole depth, then a few stitches are increased so when the piece is folded over to join the front and back, the extra stitches will compensate for the amount the armhole pulls in (see the detail photos).
Customize this pullover with your own colors, or even work it in one color.
