Knitted shells, starfish and sand combine to create this sensational sandcastle tea cosy.

The knitted sandcastle tea cosy has been decorated with bits and bobs commonly found at the beach; sea shells, seaweed and a small orange star fish. Limpet shells top off the sandcastle to look like battlements. On the top of the tea cosy are limpet shells and a scallop shell door that give it a medieval castle look.

At the back of the tea cosy is a hermit crab. He’s peeping out of his shell house with his claw ready to do battle.

There are short rows in the sea shells with means you turn the work before reaching the end of the current row. And you have to knit bobbles. There are links to Youtube Help Videos included in the Knitting Pattern.

It’s a lovely summery tea cosy that transports you (in your mind) to the beach and the soft rippling waves of the sea.

It’s a 5 page knitting pattern that is easy to follow with links to Help Videos included.

The Sandcastle tea cosy fits a medium sized teapot that covers a Teapot that holds 6 to 8 cups or 2 pints.
