Here is a creative and beautiful solution for the many small scraps of yarn we crafters accumulate over the years! This simple but creative blanket is not only a great way to employ yarn leftovers, but a fun exercise in combining colors and being spontaneous. The blanket is worked with only knit and purl stitches, and the asymmetrical fringe joyfully eliminates the need to weave in any yarn ends whatsoever! If you’re a planner, you can gather all your scraps and sort them by color family before beginning to work, or be spontaneous and grab whatever scraps and colors inspire you in the moment as you work. With this playful design, no two blankets made from the pattern will ever be the same.

Construction

Blanket is worked flat in one piece from the bottom up. Fringe is added while blanket is worked using yarn tails at each color change.
