Let the variegated yarn determine how the stitch pattern
is worked, by letting one of the colors in a multi-color ball
literally pop off the project! Bobbles and woven slipped
stitches worked in the pop color will make for a heavily
textured and one-of-a-kind washcloth. The texture even
serves a functional purpose of being especially good for
scrubbing dishes or faces!

Just one ball of yarn is used, but you’ll choose one color
within that ball to be the “contrasting color” (CC) so make
sure your yarn has at least two distinct colors, and ideally
the CC should make up no more than a fourth of the yarn,
or a fifth is good; so there should be about three to four
times as much of the other color(s) as there is of the CC.
