Sea Glass Tee is our love letter to scraps. This top-down, seamless tee uses simple 1x1 colorwork to turn leftover fingering weight yarn into a cohesive fabric that looks far more intentional than it has any right to be.

Short sleeves and a relaxed fit make it easy to wear, but the real fun is in the knitting. You change one or both colors every round, watching the fabric slowly blend itself together while your stash steadily disappears. The tee is fully reversible and, thanks to the included technique, you won’t be buried under a mountain of ends when you finish.

If you enjoyed the Sea Glass Cowl or Cardigan, this is the same spirit translated into a lightweight everyday garment. It’s playful, flexible, and easy to knit.

Design Details

Sea Glass Tee has a relaxed, easy fit with a yoke that sits around the mid bust for its intended silhouette. The fabric has a soft visual texture created by the constant color changes, giving depth without a defined motif.

Because the colorwork has no fixed order, every version looks different. High contrast palettes, soft fades, or completely mixed scraps all create a cohesive result. The fabric is fully reversible, so either side can be worn as the right side.

Pattern Highlights

  • True stashbuster designed for scraps and minis
  • Reversible fabric looks beautiful on either side
  • Top down seamless construction allows easy length adjustments
  • Minimal finishing using the included joining technique

Construction Overview

Sea Glass Tee is worked seamlessly from the top down in the round using stranded 1x1 colorwork. Increases shape the yoke to the desired depth before separating the sleeve stitches.

The body is then worked in the round to the chosen length. Sleeves are picked up and worked in the round.

The included yarn joining technique allows colors to be added as you knit, keeping finishing simple.

Yarn Notes

Sea Glass Tee was designed specifically for fingering weight leftovers, mini skeins, and single skeins you’ve been saving. The stitch pattern blends color automatically, so matching dye lots or planning a strict palette isn’t necessary.
