Seamless Stars & Stripes Hat
Designed to coordinate with my Seamless Stars & Stripes Socks pattern which I knit while we visited the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, learning a bit more about our ancestors who immigrated from Europe. The meergruen yarn reminds me of Lady Liberty’s aged copper patina. The ‟stars and stripes” are worked in stranded knitting, with slipped stitches to minimize a jog in the pattern between the end of one round & the beginning of the next, providing a seamless flow of the pattern.
PATTERN DIFFICULTY LEVEL: Intermediate; skills required include: provisional CO (uses very basic crochet), working in the round, slipped stitches, & stranded colorwork
