Seeds to Flowers Cowl
I love wearing shawls, but it is no fun when a tip of one dangles into my food or gets into my cooking. So here is my Seeds to Flowers shawl tipless, converted to a cowl, which nevertheless has a nice curve both at the top and at the bottom edges. Call it a scowl.
Seeds to Flowers Cowl is the first pattern from the Recowled e-book.
The knitting starts at the top with just a few stitches. While working the stockinette body flat, plant some beads for seeds. The rest is worked in the round: stems and leaves of Japanese lace, Estonian lace buds and blossoming flowers sprinkled with dew-like beads.
For information about sizes, measurements and yarn requirements please check the second page of the pattern located among the photos on the left.
The cowl is designed for fingering weight yarn. The size can be easily adjusted by working more or fewer rows of the stockinette body.
