This project is knit with the fourth sequence in our year of Sequence Washcloths. This month, we’ll work a {knit 3, purl 1, knit 1, purl 1, knit 1, purl 1, knit 1, purl 3} sequence—abbreviated in the pattern as {k3, (p1, k1) 3 times, p3}—in a simple one-row pattern. Next month, we’ll work the same 12-stitch sequence in a serpentine method, which will change the look of the stitch pattern. In December, we’ll work the last washcloth of the year in a shaped sequence, knitting diagonally from corner to corner. Each pattern will come with general instructions for sequence knitting, as well as the specific instructions for the featured washcloth.
