Sequoia
Sequoia was inspired by the nature in my home state and was a design I spent 2 years on in order to bring the natural landscape that is loved by us all into a garment.
Sequoia is made using 3 colors of Malabrigo Rios: Coco, Agua and Lettuce to really feel as if nature is with you! This is a very customizable shawl with really being able to play around with the sizing. You can use one color of three if you chose.
Sequoia has 3 different sections to it that can be complicated but I have a video guide for everyone that struggles with anything on this. So do not stress. Sequoia is a intermediate pattern because of all the different textures so if you are adventurous or willing to try something new, this is the perfect pattern to do so with. The sections are garter, brioche/ texture, and leaf section.
Gauge is really not as important but if you are going off the pattern, the gauge is 22 sts= 4”. The supplies you need for this pattern are:
- 3 colors in Malabrigo or any yarn of your choosing
- US size 8 (5 mm), 32” circular
- Stitch marker
- Darning needle
