Shadow mittens are ease and fun to make. The women’s style has one rose on the back, but the man’s style has the same simple pattern throughout the whole body of the mittens. The thumbs have the same pattern, both for men’s and women’s style.

The mittens are worked in the round from bottom to top using 5 double pointed needles, followed by knitting the thumbs using 4 double pointed needles.

Begin with needles US 1.5 (2.5 mm) for women’s size and US 2 (2.75 mm) men’s size to knit the cuff following using needles 2.5 (3 mm) knitting the body of the mittens for men’s and women’s sizes.
For a pair of women’s size, you will need one skein of each color of Kambgarn. For a pair of Men’s size, you will need 2 skeins of main color and one skein of contrast color.
