YARN Brown Sheep Company Prairie Spun DK (100% wool; 256 yd / 3.5 oz): #DK70 ash hollow, 5 (5, 5, 6, 6, 7, 7) skeins.

NEEDLES Size 7 (4.5 mm): 32″ circular and set of double-pointed. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

NOTIONS Markers; stitch holders; tapestry needle; seven 5/8″ buttons.

GAUGE 22 sts and 35 rows = 4″ in Broken rib patt.

NOTES The body of this cardigan is worked back and forth in one piece from the lower edge to the underarm. The sleeves are worked separately in the round, then the sleeves and body are joined to work the yoke. A circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of stitches.
