If you like the Sheltering Pines Hat, here’s some cute mitts to go with it. The hat and mitts were inspired by the downward drooping branches of some pine trees outside my window. I often see birds and bunnies going under the branches to shelter from the weather. Thus, Sheltering Pines.

These simple but cute mitts are perfect for when you just need a bit of warmth for your hands, but still need your fingers free for typing, texting, or other tasks where a full mitten might interfere.
The size is for an Adult Medium, but there is enough stretch to fit a fairly large hand, and enough negative ease for a smaller hand. If you have very small hands, going down one needle size should work well.
These mitts are a great stashbuster, because they only use about 100 yards for the pair, depending on how long you make the cuff.
The pattern contains a chart for each hand, and completely written out instructions.
