This hat or ‘toorie’ as we would call it in Shetland dialect was designed as a fundraiser for the children’s Shetland knitting charity Shetland Peerie Makkers.
The pattern includes 2 hats, 1 stranded peerie design and one with the words of the charity.

All profits from the sale of the pattern will go directly to Shetland PeerieMakkers. Donation to the charity helps many more Shetland bairns(children) to develop their knitting skills.

This hat is knit in the round with no more than 2 colours in each rou d. Both hats have the same corrugated ribbing brim and the same crown design, only the central design is different.

The pattern is written in one size, changing needle size or adding or removing motif repeats in the stranded hat can alter the size.
