Calling all Swiftie knitters! Life of a Showgirl is out, and this skinny scarf celebrates Taylor Swift’s Album release and her special color theme. The pattern also includes instructions for a wider version. The scarf is knit in two identical pieces that are knit from tip to center. These two pieces are joined together with kitchener stitch or a three needle bind off. Instructions are provided in both chart and written formats.
Size: Skinny (Wider). Length is easily adjustable.
Measurements:
Skinny Version: 56”/142 cm long, 3 ½”/ 9 cm wide
Wider Version: 56”/ 142 cm long, 6” / 15 cm wide.
Yarn: Any yarn from heavy fingering to worsted weight.

Skinny Version
MC: Queen City Yarn Latta (100% Non-Superwash Merino/Rambouillet. 312 yds/ 286 m per 100g skein) in color Hugo - 1 skein.
CC: Lang Yarns Lame’ Soft (80% Viscose, 20% Polyester 207 yds/ 190 m per 50g skein) in color #56 – 1 skein.
Wider Version
Malabrigo Dos Tierras (50% Merino, 50% Baby Alpaca. 210 yds/193 m per 100g skein) in MC: Polar Moon – 1 skein and CC: Azul Profundo – 1 skein
Approximate Yardage:
Skinny version: MC - 159 yds /145m, CC -65 yds / 59m
Wider version: MC – 192 yds / 176m, CC – 85 yds / 78m
Above amounts are estimates only and may vary depending on personal tension, yarn weight and type of fiber used.
Needles:
US size 6 (4mm) or size needle used to get gauge.
Gauge:
20 sts 28 rows = 4” (10cm) in pattern stitch, blocked.
Note: Gauge is not too important for this pattern, however obtaining a different gauge could affect the final measurements of the scarf and yarn amounts required.
Notions: Removable stitch markers, crochet hook for performing the PUC
Notes:
• This scarf is worked in two identical pieces that are worked from tip to center and joined together at the center.
• The scarf has a three stitch i-cord edge on each side that is worked at the end of every row. When working this edge the sts are slipped purlwise with yarn in back on RS rows and purlwise with yarn in front on WS rows.
• When more than 2 rows are worked before changing colors, carry the unused yarn up the side of the work by placing it behind the working yarn at the beginning of RS rows. No need to break the yarn between color changes.
