Side stripe pullover
This cuff to cuff sweater was created for Tess’ Designer Yarns Superwash Merino, a worsted weight yarn. A tonal solid with one coordinating variegated stripe is shown, along with other versions.
The body and sleeves are worked in one piece, then seamed (cuff through underarm to bottom edge). Short rows at the shoulders function as sleeve caps for a more comfortable fit. The neckline edging is worked in the round, cuffs and bottom edge can be worked flat or in the round (or omitted).
There is a schematic, line-by-line instructions, information provided to change width, length, size of neck opening, and sleeve shape. The sweater is highly customizable. A fill-in-the-blanks page is present to streamline knitting the reverse shaping of the second shoulder and sleeve.
I offer my sincere thanks to Selana and Ryna-Lyn who test knit the pattern and improved it as a result of their suggestions.
Errata Sept 5, 2015 Just noticed: the comment between the schematic and the table on page 2, second sentence, should read “Row gauge governs A through D, stitch gauge E through H.”
