The sensation of soft sand and smooth pebbles underfoot translated into textured rich lace. Couple your favorite semi-solid or solid yarn with Silken Sands lace body and ribbed edge for stunning wearable results. Silken Sands is a classic top-down shawl pattern with both charted and written instructions to meet your knitting preference.

Finished Measurements: Wingspan x depth at centre after wet blocking: 60” x 25” / 152.5 cm x 63.5 cm
Yarn: 500 yds / 457 m DK weight / 8-ply yarn that achieves gauge. Sample knit in Madelinetosh Twist DK, in Colourway, Buckle.
Needle Size: US size 8 /5 mm long circular needle for holding a large number of sts.
Notions: Tapestry needle, 3 stitch marker, safety pin or removable marker
Gauge: 18 sts = 4” / 10cm in Lace Stitch after wet blocking (gauge is not overly important; however, it will alter yardage and finished measurements).
Skill Level: Intermediate
