Silver Darlings Beanie
Herring, which once was called the ‘silver darling’ in English speaking fishing communities, has for hundreds of years provided a source of livelihood for the coastal communities from the Baltic Sea to the Atlantic Ocean and beyond. In Silver Darlings Beanie, which celebrates this humble fish, nineteen stylized herrings swim in the sea that ripples in jewel colours of teal, green and blue, coming together at a 16 point compass rose at the top.
