Named for the abandoned 1800s mining town where this issue was photographed, the Silver Plume Pullover is a timeless design with modern sensibility. Worked from the bottom up, cascading diamond-shaped cables dance around the neckline with vertical cabled columns trailing from each diamond’s point. Whether dressed up or styled with a relaxed charm, you’ll wear this sweater for years to come.

NOTES
• For techniques you don’t know, please visit our online knitting glossary at www.interweave.com/interweave-knitting-glossary.

• This pullover is worked in the round from the bottom up, then divided at the armholes. German Short-rows are used to shape the shoulders, which are joined using the Three needle Bind-off method. The sleeves are worked in the round from the cuff up, and the sleeve caps are worked back and forth.

• When working the body, the beginning of the round is not centered at the left side for some sizes in order to make the cables that cross at that point easier to work; for other sizes, the beginning/end of the round is at the center of the left side. The beginning of the round is shifted on the last full round to set up the armhole shaping.

• The cable crossings are staggered so not all cables will be crossed on the same round. This is to accommodate the beginning point for the lowest diamond at each cable.
