Whether you need a quick gift or just want to make something for yourself, this hat and cowl set is a chance to play with color combinations. Here, I used two hand-painted colorways from Leading Men Fiber Arts. The varying colors in each one imitate the twinkling stars in a night sky.
The hat is worked in the round from the bottom up, and the cowl is also worked in the round. The two-color sand stitch pattern creates an interesting texture as you work.
One skein of each color will make both pieces.

Hat Circumference: 17 1/2 (19 3/4, 21 3/4)“ / 44.5 (50, 55) cm, and length: 7 3/4 (8 1/2, 8 3/4)” / 19.5 (21.5, 22) cm
