This pattern is knit from the crown to the brim. The crown is knit on 6mm straight needles, then joined in the round and the brim knit on 5mm circular needles. The pattern calls for two balls of King Cole Raffia. The hat should fit an average-sized adult’s head, with a circumference of 55cm. There is a twisted cord wound through some knit eyelets, which can be tightened to adjust the hat’s fit. The pattern is done in garter stitch (knit one row, purl the following row).
