Notes
Singin’ in the Rain is a three-color, asymmetrical triangular shawl with slip stitch colorwork designs. It may be worked with any weight yarn or combinations of colors.
Carrying Yarns: There are some large gaps in between color changes, and the pattern does indicate some places where it is wise to break certain colors. One way to carry yarns not is use is a technique offered by Melanie Berg: before starting the new color, with RS facing and new yarn held at WS,
• Slip one stitch from the left needle to the right needle,
• Bring new yarn from back to front over top of left needle tip,
• Replace slipped stitch back to left needle
• Gently tension both yarns, snugging old yarn under the first stitch purl bump.
• Hold both yarns to WS for first stich and then gently tension them again, but not too tight.
Weaving in ends: Here is a suggested method for weaving in ends, this method is demonstrated on Reverse Stockinette, but is applicable to Garter Stitch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfkJxcr027Q
