This design especially goes to all the matheknitticians out there (I am borrowing that expression from the famous Woolhelmina from Wolly Thoughts) who always have wanted to knit the geometric series. Knitting itself requires no math, so everyone else: you can sigh in relief now! :)

The scarf is worked in garter stitch and uses the modular knitting technique; for each triangle the stitches of the previous are picked up. No sewing involved!

An detailed illustrated appendix explains all techniques used, including picking up stitches and attached I-cord. You might want to check the document before you decide if you are going to print the appendix as well.

Die Muster richtet sich besonders an alle strickenden Mathematikbegeisterten, da es die geometrische Reihe stricktechnisch umsetzt. Ich hoffe, dass alle Nichtmathematiker einfach einen schönen und ungewöhnlich konstruierten Schal sehen und damit zufrieden sind, gemütlich nach Anleitung zu stricken. Jedenfalls braucht nicht gerechnet zu werden; jetzt ist der Zeitpunkt aufzuatmen ;)

Die Technik ist das modulare Stricken, es werden jeweils die Maschen des vorangegangenen Dreiecks aufgenommen.

Material:
Wolle: LANG YARNS Baby Alpaca,100 % Baby Alpaca, 170 m/50 g:

• 100 g von der Hauptfarbe (= Schwarz auf den Fotos);
• 70 g von Kontrastfarbe 1 (= Rot);
• 10 g von Kontrastfarbe 2 (= Blau);

Nadeln:

• Rundnadel Nr. 2.5, 30 cm lang oder länger, alternativ 2 Langnadeln Nr. 2.5;
• 2 Nadeln eines Nadelspiels Nr. 2.5;

Sonstiges:

• eine Häkelnadel Nr. 2;
• 2 Sicherheitsnadeln, Spaltringe, Maschenraffer oder Hilfsfäden.

Größe: Der Schal ist 21 cm breit (an der breitesten Stelle in der Mitte) und 190 cm lang
