Oldies but Goldies – It’s Time to Say Goodbye!

As you may know, I strive for perfection in both my knitting and pattern writing.

When I started 11 years ago, my pattern writing skills weren’t as developed as they are today. While these older patterns aren’t bad, they no longer meet my current standards and many are not size-inclusive.

This is the adapted Version for DK weight yarn and a gauge of 22stsx30R. Find the original “Slim Lines” pattern for a gauge of 25stsx34R here.

The colour-play of hand dyed yarn finds a perfect stage on this cardi and will show slimming vertical streaks additional to the purl-lines. The classic shape of this cardi ist upgraded by a modern and unusual construction: The body is worked sideways in one piece, shaping is done by short rows. Sleeves are knitted sideways and set in.
Mostly stockinette but never boring as you will be working from section to section.

… count from R1 (cast on row) onwards !
so for sizes XS,S and M you already have the requested 3 rows, for sizes L, XL knit 1 more row, for sizes 2X_ and 3XL knit 2 more rows.
