Slipping Away is a comfy scarf knit with fingering weight yarn, making it a perfect accessory anytime of the year. It is constructed in three colors, mainly striped and decorated with perfectly organized slip stitches and several short rows to give the piece a gentle curve. An I-cord border finishes up the scarf for an extra color pop. While created on fingering yarn originally, this design can be knit on any yarn, so enjoy!

• Color A: Edison Bulb (135 yds)
• Color B: Stovepipe (200 yds)
• Color B: Smokestack (200 yds)
US 4 24” circular needles
Tapestry needle

GAUGE AND MEASUREMENTS:
83” between each tip and 6” wide.
About 28 sts and 16 rows every 4’. Measurements taken after blocking. Gauge not critical for this project, especially if using yarn of different weight.

PATTERN NOTES: It is possible to strand colors B and C over the color A short row wedges occurring in between sections, but keep a loose tension to prevent the scarf from puckering. During the I-cord bind off, keep a fairly loose tension or use a slightly larger needle.
