Snood with Cables
A reversible cable snood, inspired by Laura Biagotti, was my point of origin. I choose the delicious wool and alpaca mixture from Berroco called Ultra Alpaca Fine, and held it double to make the cables pop.
Size: One Size
Finished Measurements: 32 cm/12.5” wide and 140 cm/55” long.
Yarn: Berroco Ultra Alpaca Fine (50% Peruvian wool, 20% super fine Alpaca, 30% Nylon, 100 g, 400 m/433 yds). Sample is knitted in 1201 Winter White:
4 skeins; 1520 m/1662 yds.
Note: Knit with 2 strands held together throughout.

Gauge: 22 sts and 30 rows in st st with 2 strands of yarn held together measures 10 cm/4” square.
Notes: All selvedge and middle stitches except the ones next to a cable are knitted in rib. The stitch next to the cable is a garter stitch, while the stitch between the front and back cable is worked in stockinette stitch and then unraveled from last row down to the yarn over on the set-up row. The snood can either be joined together using matress stitches or grafted together.
