Snowman Mittens
This pattern is available as a free tutorial on instructables.
Clarification: A couple of people have tried to hit the download button on the instructables page. This is to download the tutorial as a pdf and is only available to premium members. The entire tutorial can be viewed for free online. Just begin reading and follow the steps. The chart downloads are available on steps 4 and 6.
Yarn: I used Mineville wool project DK merino, which is made local to me. I used 140 yards of navy and 132 yards of blue, but you may need a little more or less, depending on your gauge and yarn.
Inspiration: I wanted to make something special for my friend who is like a second mother to me. I asked her daughter what kind of animal her mother likes. She said, actually, she likes snowmen.
I assumed that there would be many many patterns already out there with snowmen on them, but when I searched for one that would work, I didn’t find exactly what I was looking for, so I made these, with the parent and child snowmen.
