NORTH SEA is a collection inspired by the traditional fisherman knit and is a celebration of nautical cables and Celtic twists, complimented by Nordic inspired Fair Isle. Photographed on Unst, the most northerly of the Shetland Islands…a perfect location to experience the wildness of where the North Sea meets the North Atlantic Ocean.

SOAY is the front cover design on the NORTH SEA book and it’s very easy to wear with lots of interesting details including the twisted stitch cable side sections and side slits. The cabling is quite complex hence the ‘experienced knitter’ rating on the pattern. SOAY is knitted in Rowan Felted Tweed and the colour is Scree. Scree is such a lovely shade, one I’ve overlooked in the past but it really is a beautiful pale blue grey shade which is very flattering next to the skin.

We photographed SOAY on Lund beach along with ISLAY and I’ve included another shot of this lovely place.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE PDF PATTERN IS CORRECT AND THE ERRATA MENTIONED IS INCLUDED.
