Sock-It-To-Me Headband
This headband came about because I wanted something to keep the hair away from my face, but I have thick hair (and a big head?) and therefore most commercial headbands are too tight. I came up with the idea of using a sock yarn with stretchy elastic to do most of the work in creating a comfortable headband.
Make the headband in bright or variegated colors or dress it up with a crocheted flower!
This pattern uses the Foundation Single Crochet (FSC) stitch to create the first round. There are plenty of tutorials available on the internet. I recommend watching video tutorials as it can be tricky until you understand how the stitch works.
Since this requires a small amount of fingering weight yarn, it is a great way to use up scraps you might have!
