’Sophie’ hat has been designed to match ’Sophie’ scarf. It features the same cable pattern as the scarf and is knit in the same fabulous hand dyed ‘Breathless DK’ yarn from Shalimar Yarns.

There are two sizes given and there is also a detail instruction for a custom fit.
’Sophie’ hat is knit in two parts. Brim is knit flat first and both ends are grafted together (can also be seamed) and then stitches are picked up and crown knit in the round. The length of the crown can also be adjusted easily to one needs.
Samples are shown in ‘Buttermilk’ and ‘Radio Flyer’, and one skein (about 85g) of yarn is required to complete the hat.
The design is fairly simple and advanced beginners should be able to make it.
The instructions are written and cable pattern is also charted.

Both ’Sophie’ scarf and a hat will keep your head toasty and fashionable!
