First, there was the Sourwood Shawl which lead to the Sourwood Pullover which then lead to the Sourwood Cowl and now there’s the Sourwood Beanie!

It’s a cute little hat with neat details like a garter rib and two sizes of a honeycomb pattern.

The color work is a simple mosaic stitch, using just one color at a time. It’s sized to closely fit a medium sized adult head; it can easily be made slouchier by knitting more rounds before starting the crown shaping.

The hat is worked in the round from the bottom up.
