“Spinel” has been designed for Julie Asselin yarn “Fino” a beautiful mix of merino cashmere and silk.

“Spinel” has an asymmetric triangular shape.
The composition of the yarn together with the bias construction give it a superior drape.
The shawl is rich in texture given by slip stitch, lace and cable crosses with a simple i-cord finishing which instills a modern feel to it.

The size given requires 2 almost full skeins of “Fino”, however it can be changed by adjusting the number of pattern repeats worked.
This design will look equally good in a single colour yarn as well as in a variegated one as the slip stitch “helps” in mixing the colours in a lovely way.

Despite its complex look is nothing but. The stitches used are of the simplest kind (yo, ssk, k2tog, sl) and knitters with some experience (advanced beginners) should be able to make it.

The instructions are written and charted.

“Spinel” is very easy to wear and fun to make. It will look equally lovely with a sporty outfit or more elegant one.
The only hard part is to choose the colour to knit “Spinel” in!
