Staghorn
by Lisa Lloyd
Pattern Description from A Fine Fleece: “Staghorn was born as an adult-sized version of a baby’s Aran I designed several years ago. Thinking I could simply upsize the design only by changing gauge proved to be a misled upon the arrangement you see here. The earthy handspun version is wool that resulted from a happy accidental crossbreeding that created incredibly beautiful wool in both color and texture that I have failed to find again. Green Mountain Spinnery’s Mountain Mohair is consistently a yarn that rises to any occasion I present to it. The color reminds me of partridgeberry leaves encountered on a forest floor.”
