Notes
Standard linen stitch is created by slipping every other stitch as you work across the row, with the yarn in front of the work, which creates little horizontal bars of yarn across the front of the fabric. The stitch gives the appearance of a woven, rather than, knitted texture. Although it takes two rows to work every stitch once, each row takes half as long to knit, as you only work half of the stitches in any given row.
