This striped asymmetrical garter stitch shawl with shallow lace edging is fun to knit and its size is completely adjustable depending on how much yarn you use. You can also add as many stripes of color to its edge as you like. It’s a great way to use up small scraps of yarn in your stash or mini skeins. It’s worked in one piece and its lace edging emerges as you knit it. There is no need to knit a separate edging.

The design is pretty minimal with loads of garter stitch and breaks of “stealthy” stockinette stitch stripes which add texture.

The shawl in the photos was made from one entire skein of Squish Wish Sock in colorway Myterious Antique plus two Squish Wish Sock mini skeins in colorways Into the Sunset and Rainbow Storm from Dye is Cast Yarns.
