Stonepath Sweater
Knit top-down and in the round, Stonepath is a study in subtle geometry and texture. The yoke features a striking column of trellis lace that grows organically in wedge-like expansions. At the base of the yoke, delicate beaded diamonds are worked using the Estonian inlay technique: beads are pre-strung onto contrasting colour yarn and are laid into the fabric, during knitting. The body and sleeves are finished in clean stockinette stitch with 2X2 rib trims. A luxurious blend of one strand of merino/silk and one strand of superkid mohair/silk/yak/merino creates a dreamy DK-weight fabric – light, soft, and warm, with gentle halo.

The yarn is held double throughout.

Contrast Colour (CC) for Beaded Inlay – yarns held double and worked together (maroon)
Cut strands approximately 60cm / 23.5” long of Saffira in
“Cinnamon 40” and Manada in “Sahara 207”. I recommend knitting a swatch and checking this length is suitable for the beaded inlay motif, before cutting all strands.
30 (34, 38, 41, 45) (49, 53, 56, 61, 64) cut strands, approx. 20 (20, 25, 25, 25) (30, 30, 35, 35, 40)m / 22 (22, 27, 27, 27) (33, 33, 38, 38, 44)yds.
To achieve a similar look to the sample, match the CC colour and the bead colour.

Sample shown in Size 2, worn with approximately 10cm / 4” of positive ease.
To achieve the same look as the sample, choose a similar amount of ease. If between sizes, choose the next larger size for a looser fit, or smaller size for a closer fit. Recommendations are given in pattern for modification options; any modification will affect yardage.
