Golden leaves glow in the wind
They fall softly and come to rest
on the mirror-like surface of Lake Stora Rängen,
where light flows like fire in calm waves.

Yarn

Meterage required:
(800,900,1000) (1100,1200,1350) (1500,1650,1750) meters
Gauge
20 sts and 26 rows = 10 × 10 cm in stockinette stitch after blocking.
22 sts = 10 cm in 1x1 rib after blocking.
I recommend knitting a gauge swatch in the round to ensure your gauge matches the pattern.
If your gauge is off, your finished sweater will have different measurements and will not fit as intended.
Notions
8 stitch markers
1 distinct marker to indicate beginning of round
1 removable stitch marker for binding off
1 m of waste yarn thinner than the main yarn for the Italian cast-on
2 lengths of waste yarn, approx. 80 cm each, to hold sleeve stitches (you can also use Scoubidou cord or similar)
Cable needle
Tapestry needle
Needles
Circular needle for cast-on: approximately 0.5–1.0 mm smaller than the ribbing needle, length 60 or 80 cm.
Circular needle that gives correct gauge for ribbing, length 60 or 80 cm.
Circular needle that gives correct gauge for stockinette stitch, length 60–80 cm for the yoke, and 80–100 cm for body and sleeves.
The sample, which is a straight model, was knitted using:
4.0 mm needles for the cast-on and ribbing
5.0 mm needles for the rest of the sweater
Since I’m a tight knitter, you may need to go down one or more needle sizes to achieve the correct gauge.
About the pattern
The sweater is designed with a round neckline and is worked top-down with a raglan yoke featuring textured stitch patterns between the raglan increases, which continue down along the sides of the body.
You can choose to knit the body shaped (with waist decreases/increases) or straight.
The sleeves are designed to end about 1 cm above the wrist, allowing bracelets or watches to remain visible.
