Thanks for checking out the Stream Shawl! This adjustable shawl is a relaxing knit composed of primarily of crossed stitches and simple cables to create textured lines that run the length of the garment. This pattern is a great opportunity to show off those deep tonal skeins or even that gradient skein you’ve probably been saving for something special. It makes a perfect, heavy winter shawl or a light and versatile autumn/spring scarf. It knits up fast and the texture is so so so satisfying to work with. I hope you like it!

Note: This is a highly adjustable pattern with no strict yardage requirements. Feel free to use more or less yarn and adjust the number of repeats of Section B accordingly.

Here’s a quick summary of the pattern based on the original sample:
Dimensions:
--78 in (198 cm) in length along the longest edge
--16 in (41 cm) in deep at the widest point
Yarn Requirements:
--Around 800 yards of fingering weight yarn used in the sample shown, designed for 1 color (gradient, solid, tonal, variegated, you pick!)
Needles:
--3.25 mm (US 3) needles
Gauge:
--28 sts by 40 rows = 4 in by 4 in (10 cm by 10 cm) in reverse stockinette after blocking lightly
Other Materials:
--cable needle
--tapestry needle to weave in ends
