NOTES
Stroll Hat is worked top-down, beginning with an adjustable loop (magic circle). For a smooth finish on the crown and to avoid a visible seam at the beginning and the end of rounds, single crochet stitches are worked in a spiral, and increases are carefully spaced in the pattern.
Instructions for the crown are written in an intuitive table format that is easy to follow and keep track. Notes on adjustments to pattern are given to help you achieve your preferred fit.
Comprehensive photo tutorials are included to supplement the instructions.
Itobatake washi (Japanese paper) yarn used in this design is washable, making it a practical yarn for a summer hat. The hat is lightweight and retains its form if you crochet at the recommended gauge. If you substitute with a heavier or drapey yarn, you may get a different outcome with the brim.
