Strolling the Pier is a toe up, short row heel sock. Its simple slip stitch cable and stockinette stitch background reminds me of my childhood vacations to Pismo Beach walking the pier while watching the fisherman catching fish, with the cool ocean breeze stinging my face in the early morning. The slip stitch cable starts after the toe increases, continues up the outer side of each foot, and is carried through the 1×1 ribbing. The stockinette stitch makes for an easy vacation knitting project!
