Sumargleði / Summer joy
The garment is made of two threads of Plötulopi held together. Body and sleeves are worked in the round from lower edge to underarms, then joined to work the yoke in the round. Round begins and ends with a purled st for the steek at front of body.
A sewing machine is used to sew over the purl sts in the front before cutting up the opening. Bands at front opening are crocheted after the opening has been cut open.
The body of each butterfly is made with golden or black duplicate stitches. The inner side of the neckline is made with soft, no-itching yarn matching the gauge (optional).
You can easily use alternative yarn for the garment as long as it fits the gauge.

Please note that knitting to the correct gauge is essential to end up with a garment that has the measurements given in the pattern.
