Summer Breezes Raglan Shell
Classic A-line shape combined with raglan armholes and a keyhole back neck opening create a shell that’s perfect for warm weather daytime adventures or romantic evening encounters.
The cotton/hemp/modal blend yarn gives the pattern excellent stitch definition. The wide bands of reverse St st and diamond panels create a wonderful wavy character for the lower part of the body.
Work the body in the round to the armholes, with decreases worked both in the pattern and in the reverse St st panels to shape the work. After dividing the body for the armholes, the back and front are worked separately with raglan shaping and further decreases in the pattern. Stitches are picked up along the bound-off edges to create the armhole edgings that are worked at the same time as the armholes. The short collar is worked over the remaining stitches with cast-on stitches that bridge the gaps at the tops of the shoulders. No seams!
