These cute shorts are made top down starting with a ribbed waist then a pretty shell stitch. The pattern is written colour coded so you follow the colour of the size you want in the size chart below.

The pattern could easily be made into a skirt making the length you want rather than splitting for the legs.

140-410 metres of dk / weight 3 yarn (see size chart in pattern)

For my progress photos I used

Colour 1 = Pebble Haze DK Shade Marble 145 metres per 50g

Colour 2 = Pebble Haze Prints Shade Marloes Sands 435 metres per 150g ball

4 mm crochet hook

For the rainbow version I used Kingcole Cottonsoft 210 metres per 100g in Shades White, Candyfloss, Apricot, Sunshine, Apple, Saxe, Iris and Lavender. I used white for the edging and v stitch rows and changed colour for the shell stitch rows.
