This pretty shawl is a lovely project for Summer; perfect over a prom dress or as a delicate addition to a wedding wardrobe, it is fun to make and absorbing in its simplicity. Named after a local beauty site, my Sweethope shawl is a romantic whisper of usefulness beyond question and a beautiful item in its own right. The lace pattern is easy to follow and kicked in just as the stocking stitch main part was becoming a challenge, helping me race to the finish in almost no time at all! I’m about to cast on straight away for an alpaca version for the Winter - ideal for crispy cold walks on the beach with my dog!
