SYLARNA

The Sylarna hat features a simple but bold geometric colourwork pattern that lends itself perfectly to striking colour combos. The folded hem keeps your ears warm and the pompom (which is, of course, totally optional) adds that little bit of whimsy. If you prefer a more fitted look, you can reduce “the slouch” by working the hat a bit shorter (instructions will tell you how).

Yarn
Sport weight yarn in three different colours,1 skein in each Main Colour and Contrast Colour plus 10-15 g (40-55 m / yds) in Contrast Colour 2 for the hem and the pompom (optional)
The sample shows the hat in De Rerum Natura Ulysse in Tempête, Poivre Blanc and Genêt. The pattern is onsize with a circumference 48 cm / 19 in. Recommended to be worn with up to 12 cm / 5 in of negative ease.

Gauge and Needles
25 sts x 30 rounds = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 in) worked in stockinette in the round. Recommended needle size is US 2½ - 3.0 mm for plain-coloured section and US 3 - 3.25 mm for the colourwork section.

The pattern uses written instructions combined with charts for the colourwork.
