These mittens not only got their name from the land of ice and fire (“vöfflu” means “waffle” in Icelandic), one of the yarns used also comes from Iceland. einrúm yarns are very unique due to their combination of Icelandic wool and silk. Paired with the classic 2Ply Jumper Weight by Jamieson & Smith, Vöfflu becomes the perfect accessory for long afternoon walks, gardening, or evenings by the fire. You’ll need about one skein of J&S plus about half a skein of einrúm

Gauge and Needles
33 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 in) in stranded stockinette worked in the round on larger needles, after washing

2.5 mm (US 1-2) or one size smaller than large needles (smaller needles)
2.75 mm (US 2) or size to obtain gauge (larger needles)
