Note
Cardigan is worked from the top down while raglan increases are made to shape the body and sleeves. The Plaid Pattern is worked throughout the entire body of the cardigan to create the horizontal lines of MC and CC. Once the increases are finished, sleeves are placed on hold while the body is finished. The body is completed with a hem of 2x2 rib in CC. Sleeves are placed back onto needles and worked in the round using the Magic Loop technique. Worked in CC, the cuffs consist of two small welts worked in the round followed by 2x2 rib. The collar is picked up and worked similar to the cuffs, this time the welts are worked flat.
After the cardigan is blocked, vertical embroidered lines are added to complete the plaid look. The embroidered lines are done with CC. Optional I-cord ties can be added to the inside of the waist as a closure for the cardigan. The cardigan can also be worn open or closed with a shawl pin.
When working the Plaid Pattern flat, it is recommended to break CC yarn in-between use. These ends are woven in at the end. When working the Plaid Pattern in the round for the sleeves, CC yarn can remain attached if wanted and carried up along the side of the sleeve.

ラグランスリーブのトップダウンカーディガン. MCと CCを交互に編みながらカーディガン全体に格子パターン を作る. 身頃上部の増目を終えた後, 袖を分け, 身頃を編 む. 身頃の最後は, CCで2目ゴム編みを編む. 袖はマジック ループを用いて輪で編む. 袖口は2つの小さな縁飾りを編 み, 2目ゴム編みを編む. ネックバンドも袖口と同様に編 む.
カーディガンをブロッキング後, CCで縦のラインを刺繍 する.オプションでIコードの紐を腰部分の内側につけて もよい.カーディガンは前を開けたままでもショールピン などで閉じて着てもよい.
格子パターンを往復編みで編む際は, CCを使わない時は 切り,後で糸始末するとよい. 袖を輪で編む際は,CCは切ら ずに裏側で縦に渡しながら編み進めてもよい.
