From ‘Sweaters From The Seaton Collection’: “The flowers in this design are based on an eighteenth-century Dutch still-life painting. As a knitwear designer I often find it very frustrating to see and appreciate paintings and know that in my own work I can’t really get close to the subtlety, nicety of detail and nuance that can be achieved with paint on canvas. Nonetheless, this does make a very attractive knitwear design. I particularly like the way the soft blues of the tartan border contrast with the exuberant flowers above.”

The pullover employs 1 Main colour (A) and 24 Contrast colours (B – c). The actual yarns used are not mentioned in the pattern, only a suggested weight of yarn.
