The Big Chunky One is a top-down, wide triangular shawl with contrasting stripes, a lace border and a simple edge. It is a wonderful chunk of a hug and is just the job for cuddling up on the sofa during those long cold nights of winter and spring.

Designed to be worked in super bulky (80m/100g yarn), in two complimentary coloured yarns, this pattern offers the opportunity to have immense fun. Why not use those skeins that have been in your stash for an eternity – double them up, triple them and maybe add in a kidsilk too. Grab your yarns, get your gauge and knit.

The Big Chunky One is a fabulously chunky shawl and can be the ultimate stash buster – knit one of each!

YARN REQUIREMENTS
Triskilion Zhongfu Chunky (or other yarn that works to a 9.5sts/4ins gauge) - one 200m/250g skein of two colours or any quality yarn that works out at 80m/100g
As shown - Yarn A: 1 skein in the colourway Wade (Teal) - I used approximately 170m
Yarn B: 1 skein in the colourway Sloe (Blue) - I used approximately 200m
Choose two colours with enough contrast to see the stripes. A slightly variegated or speckle would work beautifully for Yarn A but choose a solid or semi solid for Yarn B as this is the yarn you will work the lace section with.

FINISHED SIZE
78ins (198cm) wide, 27.5ins (70cm) deep before blocking
83ins (211cm) wide, 31ins (79cm) deep after using Triskelion Zhongfu Chunky and a gentle block.

This pattern has written instructions and is fully charted.
