Note: For color knitting you have two options.

1. Use 2-color knitting to knit the eyes in black and white and then duplicate stitch the iris colors in later.
2. Knit rows of the same color eyes using 3-color knitting. This can be a bit fussy, but it saves you the trouble of duplicate stitching.

I personally did this one with duplicate stitch, so I could make each individual eye whatever color I wanted. It was a pain, but I like the end result.
